About Me
Cameron Collins, a stylist for hair and fashion, and production coordinator extraordinaire. Cameron's strong passion for styling, hair, make-up and fashion spawned from a very young age. She initially began studying hair in cosmetology school at sixteen years old and began her career as a receptionist. She has been practicing hair for seven years professionally and has a steady clientele following. Graduated from St. Edward's University with a Bachelors in Business Marketing, focusing on project management and event marketing in May 2008. She worked her way through college as a professional hairstylist, licensed in Texas. She has continued her education through Toni & Guy's Advanced Academy in Santa Monica, California.

Cameron segued from a talented hairstylist into the world of fashion and production when she started styling for runway shows in 2005. Her interest in fashion show production and styling became a fully conscious drive and she challenged herself into producing her very own fashion show production. The five month planning of the fashion show turned into a production much larger than anticipated, in September 2007.
After successfully planning, orchestrating, and directing her first fashion show, "A Community of Culture" benefiting Garza Green Horticulture program of Garza High School, Cameron decided to go for it again!
This time around the benefactor was GenAustin and the show featured 12 Austin designers. GenAustin is a non-profit organization that benefits women's empowerment and tries to impart to young women that they can reach their goals no matter how difficult.
Cameron was an intern for Austin Monthly Magazine in Spring of 2008, where she learned about event coordinating and production execution. She proposed the GenAustin fashion show to them, relying on her experience and her knowledge from her previous success, and “RunWay into Spring"” became more than just an idea.
AustinMonthly accepted Cameron's proposal and she started coordinating the show with the use of their help and name. With an attendance of over 600 people from the fashion industry and the show generating an estimated $5,000 in profits, it is evident that it was another huge success!
After relocating to Los Angeles, California in August 2008, Cameron has continued working as a stylist, styling hair in the salon and for private photo shoots, and several fashion shows. She was fortunate to be apart of LA Fashion Week October 2008, styling hair for several models for designer Deborah Davenport, at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. Cameron most recently collaborated with Gen Art team in Los Angeles on the planning and day of production for their 12th annual "Fresh Faces in Fashion" runway show in October 2009. Cameron currently works with Gen Art part time, a leading art's and entertainment organization that showcases emerging talent through hosting art exhibits, annual fashion shows, film festivals and several arts related events. She's also employed at Piero Salon in Santa Monica, where we continues to build her business as a hairstylist. Ambitious to continue climbing the ladder in LA's fashion and beauty industry, Cameron is always seeking new opportunities.
