RUNaWAY Into Spring

Run A Way Into Spring fashion show was held at The Belmont April 17th 2008. The show was produced by Cameron Collins and Jessica Reynolds and sponsored by Austin Monthly Magazine. The focus of the fashion show was to entertain and educate the audience on the hottest spring fashions, while promoting all entities involved, and raising money for GENaustin. At GENaustin, their mission is to foster healthy self esteem in girls by engaging them to explore and define their personal values and to build skills that empower them with the confidence and courage to make wise choices. GENaustin suggests options during a time In a girl’s life when she begins to feel more of the burdens rather than the advantages of feminity.

“The reason why we chose this particular charity was because we thought it was fitting for the function. To us this means that fashion makes you feel good and this is GENAustin's bottom line...instilling healthy self esteem in young girls lives. Not always, but most of the time, looking good makes you feel good! This is a motto we both live by.”

The show presented 43 spring looks, including Daytime Wear, Evening Wear and Swim Wear for both men and women. All participating Stores are Austin’s most highend and trend setting boutiques and are all from Austin Monthly Magazine’s fashion advertiser’s. The participating stores include:
